RETURNS POLICY

At Sword Cricket, we stand behind the quality of every product we sell. If something isn't right — whether it's a manufacturing defect, a sizing issue, or a damaged shipment — we'll make it right. This policy outlines how returns, exchanges, and refunds work so you know exactly what to expect.

1. Eligibility for Returns
You may return a product purchased from swordcricket.com within 7 days of delivery, provided the following conditions are met:
- The product is unused, unworn, and in its original condition.
- All original tags, labels, and packaging are intact.
- The product is in its original Sword Cricket packaging or branded box.
- You have the order confirmation email or invoice as proof of purchase.
Products returned without meeting these conditions may be rejected or returned to you at your cost.
2. Non-Returnable Items
The following products cannot be returned or exchanged for hygiene and safety reasons:
- Abdominal Guards / Boxes: Non-returnable once the packaging seal is broken.
- Inner Gloves & Socks: Non-returnable once opened.
- Grip Tape, Toe Guards & Scuff Sheets: Non-returnable once the adhesive seal is broken or the product has been applied.
- Custom / Personalised Items: Team jerseys with printed names, custom kit combos, or any product manufactured to your specifications.
- Sale / Clearance Items: Products marked as "Final Sale" or purchased during clearance promotions are non-returnable unless defective.
3. Product-Specific Return Guidelines
Cricket Bats
- Bats can be returned within 7 days if they arrive with a manufacturing defect — visible blade cracks, handle breakage, or incorrect specifications.
- Natural willow characteristics such as minor grain variation, light surface marks, or small knots are inherent to the material and do not qualify as defects.
- Bats that have been knocked in, oiled, used in nets, or used in a match cannot be returned.
- Edge damage, toe cracks, or handle breaks caused by usage are not covered under returns.
Protective Gear (Pads, Gloves, Helmets)
- Returnable within 7 days if unused and in original packaging.
- Sizing exchanges are available — see Section 5 below.
- Products showing signs of use (sweat stains, grass marks, velcro wear, dents) cannot be returned.
Kit Bags & Equipment Bags
- Returnable within 7 days if unused, with all zippers, straps, and wheels intact.
- Bags that have been loaded with equipment and show signs of use are not eligible for return.
Footwear
- Shoes can be returned within 7 days if unworn and in original packaging with the shoebox intact.
- Shoes that have been worn outdoors (sole marks, grass stains, spike wear) cannot be returned.
- We recommend trying shoes indoors on a clean surface before deciding.
Clothing & Apparel
- Returnable within 7 days if unworn, unwashed, and with all tags attached.
- Custom team jerseys and personalised apparel are non-returnable.
Balls & Small Accessories
- Leather balls, tennis balls, and training balls are returnable only if they arrive damaged or defective.
- Cones, markers, stumps, and fitness accessories are returnable within 7 days if unused and in original packaging.
4. How to Initiate a Return
To start a return, follow these steps:
- Step 1: Email us at support@swordcricket.com or call 073311 78749 within 7 days of receiving your order.
- Step 2: Provide your order number, the product you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
- Step 3: For damaged or defective products, include clear photographs showing the issue — product photos, packaging photos, and the shipping label.
- Step 4: Our team will review your request within 24–48 hours and confirm approval with return instructions.
- Step 5: Pack the product securely in its original packaging and hand it over to the courier as instructed.
Please do not ship returns without prior approval. Unapproved returns may be refused at our warehouse.
5. Exchanges
We offer exchanges for size or colour within 7 days of delivery, subject to stock availability. Here's how it works:
- Contact us with your order number and the size/colour you need.
- If the requested item is in stock, we will arrange a pickup of the original item and dispatch the replacement.
- If the requested item is out of stock, we will offer you a full refund or store credit.
- Each order is eligible for one exchange. If the exchanged item also doesn't work out, it can only be returned for a refund.
Exchange shipping is free for domestic orders. For international exchanges, return shipping is borne by the customer and we cover the outbound shipping for the replacement.
6. Return Shipping
- Defective / Damaged Products: Return shipping is completely free. We will arrange a courier pickup at no cost to you.
- Change of Mind / Sizing Issues: A flat return shipping fee of ₹99 will be deducted from your refund amount for domestic returns. Alternatively, you can arrange your own return shipment.
- International Returns: Return shipping costs for international orders are borne by the customer. We recommend using a trackable shipping service.
We are not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit if you choose to ship them on your own without a trackable service.
7. Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect the returned product at our warehouse:
- You will receive an email confirming whether your return has been accepted or rejected.
- Approved refunds are processed within 3–5 business days from the date of inspection.
- Refunds are credited back to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.
Refund Timelines by Payment Method
- UPI / Net Banking: 3–5 business days.
- Credit / Debit Card: 5–7 business days (may take up to 10 days depending on your bank).
- Cash on Delivery (COD): Refunded via bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS). You will need to provide your bank account details. Processing takes 5–7 business days.
- Store Credit: Issued instantly upon approval if you choose this option. Store credit is valid for 12 months and can be used on any purchase.
Shipping charges paid on the original order are non-refundable unless the return is due to a defect or error on our part.
8. Damaged or Incorrect Shipments
If you receive a product that is damaged during transit or is different from what you ordered:
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the damaged/incorrect product, the packaging, and the shipping label.
- Do not discard the original packaging — it may be required for the courier's damage claim process.
- We will arrange a free pickup and send a replacement at no additional cost, or process a full refund — your choice.
Damage claims reported after 48 hours may not be eligible for a free replacement, though we will review each case individually.
9. Warranty & Manufacturing Defects
Sword Cricket branded products carry the following warranty coverage:
- Cricket Bats: 30-day warranty against manufacturing defects (blade separation, handle breakage under normal use). Does not cover edge cracks, toe damage, or willow grain variation.
- Protective Gear: 30-day warranty against stitching defects, buckle/strap failures, and foam deterioration under normal use.
- Kit Bags: 30-day warranty against zipper failure, strap breakage, and wheel defects under normal use.
- Footwear: 30-day warranty against sole separation and stitching defects. Does not cover normal wear and tear.
Warranty claims must be accompanied by photographs and the original order details. Our team will assess each claim and determine whether a repair, replacement, or refund is appropriate.
Third-party branded products sold on our Website are subject to the respective brand's warranty policy.
10. Cancellations
- Orders can be cancelled for a full refund before dispatch. To cancel, contact us immediately with your order number.
- Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. You may refuse delivery, and it will be treated as a return (standard return shipping charges may apply).
- COD orders that are repeatedly refused at delivery may result in the customer being restricted from COD on future orders.
11. Team & Bulk Orders
Returns and exchanges for team orders and bulk purchases are handled differently:
- Custom/personalised items (printed jerseys, embroidered kits) are non-returnable unless defective.
- Bulk standard product orders can be returned within 7 days, but a restocking fee of 10% may apply.
- Please inspect all items upon delivery and report any issues within 48 hours.
- For team order concerns, contact us directly at support@swordcricket.com with your team order reference number.
12. Store Purchases
Products purchased at our retail stores in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, or Karnataka follow the same return guidelines with these additions:
- Returns and exchanges for in-store purchases must be processed at the same store where the purchase was made.
- Bring the original receipt/invoice and the product in its original condition.
- In-store purchases are not eligible for online return processing.
